- Family Coding Night: Sowams is participating in an online free Family Coding Night. Our Livestream, Family Artificial Intelligence Night, will be January 25, 2022 at 6:00 PM. You may join the Livestream at that time at this link: https://www.youtube.com/CSisElementary/live. Topics: Play with a computer that gets smarter by guessing what you draw--in seconds! - Volunteers: Our district’s Volunteer Coordinator, in conjunction with our school librarian Mrs. Greene, is looking for volunteers to read/record books with a focus on the Asian Pacific Islander community. This ties in with the BPS Asian Pacific Islander Community Book Award. Information about how to volunteer and about the book award may be found here.
- Playground After School: Parents/Caregivers are responsible to watch your child after school on the playground. Students are aware of our expectations and should be following the same expectations after school as they do during recess. Children should not be going into neighbors’ yards. Also, children should not be going into the woods without an adult. Please make sure you are supervising your child.
- Vaccination Cards: Thank you to all of the families who have provided us with your child’s proof of Covid vaccination. If you have not already done so and you would like us to have your child’s proof, you may upload it here. (Please note: This is a link for Sowams students only.)
- Test to Stay: If your child is a close contact at school or a household close contact, your child may have to be tested while at school. In order for us to do that, you need to provide us permission. If you would like to give us permission to test your child if he/she is an at school close contact or household close contact, please complete this form. We do not test students for whom we don’t have permission. (Please note: This is a link for Sowams students only.)
- Community Notice: There is one community notice from East Bay Lacrosse.
