2024 Octoberfest: As we get ready for summer, Octoberfest 2024 planning has already begun! This year’s event will take place at Sowams on October 19, 2024. To be a success, Octoberfest requires the commitment of our Sowams community, and we look forward to raising money for this special school while having fun!
Octoberfest Subcommittee Positions - There are a range of subcommittee chair positions open, and most can be done from home! Please consider chairing a subcommittee with the support of the 2024 co-chairs. Please view this link to sign up for open positions.

Sweetheart Dance Follow Up: Thank you to the organizers of this year’s Sweetheart Dance along with all of the families who came. The committee co-chairs would like your anonymous feedback about your thoughts on the event. Please take a couple of minutes to complete this survey.
Sowams Swag: Want to purchase Sowams Swag? Now is your chance to do it. The pop-up store is now open for t-shirts and sweatshirts. Shop here by June 5, 2024, with delivery expected by the end of the school year.
Book Swap: Students will have an opportunity the week of June 3, 2024, during their library classes. More information about the Swap can be found here.
Arts Alive Play: Do you want to see this year’s second and third grade play? The play will be presented on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at 12:00 in the afternoon. Tickets may be purchased starting on Monday, June 3, 2024. Information about the tickets may be found here.
Lost and Found: There are various items in the lost and found. If your child is missing sweatshirts, winter jackets, water bottles, etc., please have your child check when they come to school. Also, next week, we will put the lost and found items out front at drop off and in the back of the building at dismissal.
No School: Just a reminder, we do not have school on Monday in celebration of Memorial Day.
End of the Year Dates: There are various events coming up:
June 3-7, 2024: Reading Week (more information to be sent home)
June 13, 2024: Third Grade Reception
June 17, 2024: Outdoor Day and Cookout (more information to be sent home)
June 18, 2024: Last day of school (full day)
