Book Fair: Our Book Fair has been a big hit with our students. Family Night, however, has to be canceled due to the lack of volunteers. The Fair will be open Thursday and Friday during the school day.
Bike Safety: On May 20 at 10:00-1:00 will be a bike safety and repair program sponsored by the Barrington Police and other local organizations. This event is free to those participating. More information about this event may be found here.
Tough Tiger: On Sunday, May 21, 2023, Hampden Meadows School has their biggest fundraiser of the year: the Tough Tiger. This is a fun family event that has everyone running, going through obstacle courses, and getting very muddy. More information about the Tough Tiger may be found here. Wellness Expo: Our district, in conjunction with the Barrington Education Foundation, is hosting a Wellness Expo on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Barrington Middle School from 10:00-2:00. Information about the Expo may be found here.
May Calendar: Our PTO has put together a calendar for the month of May. You may access the calendar here.
May 10: Elementary students in our district have school on May 10, 2023. Students in grades 6-12 do not.
Grade 3 State Assessment for Math: Students in grade 3 will have the RICAS statement on May 16 and 17. They will begin each morning at approximately 8:30.
Hearing Screening: As Mrs. Mungovan sent out to all families, the RI School for the Deaf will be here on May 17, 2023, for screening of students in grades K-2. They will be here on May 18, 2023, to screen our third graders. Hearing screenings are one the state mandated screenings that all students need to have done.
May Celebrations: The month of May has various celebrations and recognitions. It is Mental Health Awareness Month, Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and various others. Information about all of this may be found here.
